CELPIP is a language assessment exam which checks the reading, writing, listening and speaking skills of a candidate.

Format of CELPIP exam
This exam has two versions CELPIP GENERAL LS and CELPIP GENERAL.
WHAT IS CELPIP GENERAL:
It is a test which evaluates a general level of language proficiency. The CELPIP general acts as a proof Of English proficiency for those applying for Canadian permanent Residency and by Association of Saskatchewan Realtors. It is a 3 hour test which can be completed in a single sitting.
WHAT IS CELPIP GENERAL LS:
This test also checks the general proficiency level of a candidate in the English language. This is the proof of speaking and listening proficiency for candidates applying for immigration, Refugees and citizenship Canada (IRCC). It is a 1 hour test given in a single sitting.
This exam is particularly given as a proof of English skills and generally given by students, workers and job seekers wanting permanent residential status in Canada.
It's accepted by the Canadian government for people who want to migrate there.
The arrangements for this test are made by paragon testing enterprises, a subsidiary of UBC.
These tests are divided into four sections: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
