International Students to Get Honored by Gurugram University

During a special convocation on Friday international students get honoured by GD. Goenka University in Gurugram. 

94 overseas students from 18 countries graduated from the Gurugram university this year.

The Vice-Chancellor of GD Goenka University Mrs. Kim Menezes congratulated students on their big day.

Earlier, she also welcomed Additional Secretary, Eastern and Southern Africa Division, Ministry of External Affairs, IFS Puneet Roy Kundal. He was the chief guest at the convocation ceremony.

Highlighting the relationship between India and Africa in education, Kundal said, “as per the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, your presence here shows India’s commitment to acceptance and openness towards welcoming people from other countries.”

“We have over 23,000 students from Africa studied in India, which involves many African leaders today, and I see no reason why this gathering here will not be in that role in another 15 to 20 years from today,” he added.
